Each hank contains approximately 90 strands. Maximum length is 1m metre long. Bundles vary in length.
Raffia comes from the dried leaves of the Palmyra Palm. It is harvested from renewable sources in Madagascar. The plant is not harmed during the harvesting process and can continue to produce.
When using your hank, open and hang up the tied end, then simply pull out a strand as you need it. Alternatively you can keep it bundled to make bows – they are ideal for Pom Poms!
